Leon Logvinsky

Pianist – Lauridsen Ballet Centre

Leon Logvinsky, originally Leonid Borisovich Logminskiy, was born on May 22, 1959 in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. As a child, he loved to sing and dance, and when he was six years old he started to play the piano. In 1980, he finished the college of music. In 1995, he and his family immigrated to the United States. Since 1996, he has played regularly for ballet classes at the Lauridsen Ballet Centre in Torrance, CA. Trained in the Ukraine as a character dancer, Mr. Logvinsky has appeared as a featured performer with South Bay Ballet in their annual holiday production of The Toyshop. Mr. Logvinsky also plays a class at Santa Monica College, Le Studio, Westside Academy of Dance, University of California Irvine, and Dance Arts Academy. In 1997, he participated in the National Regional Festival I Houston, Texas.
